Open the Developer App
First thing you’ll want to do is search for "Developer" in your Facebook search box, this is the quickest way to access the development tools.
Allowing the App
If this is your first time visiting the Developer tools with Facebook you’ll have to select "Allow" when the window popups up. Don’t worry about doing this. It’s Facebook’s own tool and it won’t spam any of your friends.
Create a New App
Once you’ve allowed the Developer app access into your account you’ll be redirected to the developer screen. In the top right select " + Create New App".
Creating a Fake App
#1 – App Display Name — Simply put your name here, or anything you want really!
#2 – App Namespace — Put anything you want here as well, just don’t use any special characters or spaces.
#3 – Agree to Terms — Check this box to agree to the terms.
Select "Continue" to move on!
Configure the App
#1 – Category – Be sure to select a category, by default it says "Other" this should be fine.
#2 – Save Changes – Select this to move on.
Enable Open Graph
#1 If the changes are successful, you will see a "Changes Saved" box.
#2 If you are seeing this box look to the left sidebar of the developer page and select "Open Graph".
Configure Open Graph
On the next screen Facebook will ask you to submit an action. Simply put "Test" a "Test" or anything else you want and click "Get Started".
Skip to Save Changes!
You will find a bunch of options on the next page, skip everything and scroll to the bottom. You’ll see "Save Changes and Next". Select that!
Skip and Save Changes! (Yup, Again!)
Again you’ll see even more options, just scroll down and hit "Save Changes and Next".
Save and Finish (Last Time!)
Yet again scroll down past the options on this screen and find "Save and Finish". Select that to complete this Wizard (finally!)
Review Page
After you "Save and Finish" you’ll be greeted by this review page if everything processed correctly. If you are seeing something similar to the above great work! You are now a Facebook developer and will have access to the new features. Simply visit your profile page and when prompted select "Get Started" and you’ll be ready to go!
Final Result
After hitting "Get Started" on your profile page if you see something similar to above you’ve succesfully enabled everything. Enjoy the new features!
